Context
Virtuozzo makes virtualization and cloud management software. After acquiring OnApp and Jelastic, the company needed one multi-cloud platform for cloud providers, managed service providers, and hosting companies.
Responsibility
I joined as Product Designer and UX/UI Developer to lead the interface and the design system.
The work ran with limited resources. I led research, competitor analysis, surveys, and usability tests, with marketing and business development.
Decisions
- Treat OnApp, Jelastic, and Virtuozzo as one product rather than three inherited consoles.
- Design the operating surfaces together: IaaS, PaaS, DaaS, virtual machines, object storage, users, teams, billing history, billing systems, dashboards, SSO, and two-factor authentication.
- Hold them together with a design system and a Storybook and Chromatic library.

The overview shows infrastructure state, environments, volumes, cost, load balancer capacity, virtual machines, and host usage.
